COVID-19 Updates
My Dear travellers,
I want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contacted us to ask
questions about their upcoming trips. As you know, we are always here for
support

I’d also like to take this opportunity to discuss the current situation with
regards to coronavirus (COVID-19) and travel planning.
With each passing day, there are new developments related to this worldwide
outbreak, and not knowing what’s next is leading many of us to act more
cautiously than usual.

My thoughts are with those individuals who have already been affected by
COVID-19 as well as my travellers whose plans have been disrupted and
those of you unsure about proceeding with upcoming travels.

While there are still many unknowns about this outbreak, as travel agents, it is
our duty to be ambassadors of facts and ensure we relay correct information
as it becomes available to us. I have great confidence that the travel industry
will remain united in mitigating risks and distress through education and
communication with each other and our travellers

I believe that it’s important to not let fear dictate our lives, but we need to be
resilient and educated. My top priority is, and always will be, the safety of our
travellers. I am choosing to remain optimistic about the future and encourage
you to do the same.

Please be assured that myself and staff (Cilla & Nic) here at 123Travel, as
well in the industry as a whole, are closely monitoring these events as they
unfold around the world.

As we receive information, we are relaying it to you immediately, however,
given how quickly this situation is developing and fluctuating, there is no one
answer we can give. Therefore it’s important that you trust us to distribute
information that may affect your travel plans as it’s made available to us.

While this current outbreak is concerning, the world is far too beautiful to be
left unexplored, and life is meant to be spent well-travelled.
Thank you for being such great travellers, supporters and friends, and being
patient with my industry as we navigate through this .
I am always available for any questions or support, or to simply talk through your concerns.
I continue to have faith in tourism, my staff, fellow travel agents, suppliers, and the industry as a whole

We are all committed to seeing this through with you. Together we will be
successful in persevering through these trying times.
Thank you for your trust in us.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Ryan – 123Travel

Current Update on Borders and what you need to know
State and territory governments have imposed a range of interstate travel restrictions that may affect your ability to cross a domestic border.
These travel restrictions have been implemented to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
They include the closure of certain state borders and people having to quarantine for 14 days in government-provided accommodation on arrival.
In some states and territories, travellers may be financially responsible for the cost of being quarantined.
As the health situation is continuing to change, it is important that you find out what restrictions are in place, and if there are any conditions, before booking or undertaking interstate travel. This includes consideration of restrictions when booking domestic air travel and holidays.
