Champagne and Wine Education Workshops & Dinner

Starting in December 123Travel will offer champagne and wine education evenings along with a social dining experience to share with friends.

We have two local and very experienced champagne and wine experts to take you on a journey of tasting, learning and sharing.

Rebecca Grisman will be hosting Champagne classes  and educating you about the beauty of a glass of bubbles.

CHAMPAGNE lovers, it’s time to “celebrate” because we want to introduce Rebecca Grisman as our champagne host and this should make anyone feel bubbly.

Rebecca hosts champagne tastings, masterclasses and Sunshine Coast Champagne Club. She is the champagne ambassador for a major hotel group’s exclusive events, and has travelled to Champagne many times and met many of its makers.

It seems Sunshine Coast residents’ desire to drink champagne hasn’t fizzled out and are keen to learn more.

Those living on the Coast, particularly in Buderim, have purchased more champagne than any other suburb in Australia in the past year (2019), popping up above posh Sydney district Mosman.

A lot of people think Champagne should just be for special occasions but that seems to be shifting as Rebecca explains.

She said a strong food culture was behind the increase in champagne purchases.

“Restaurants from Noosa to Caloundra have been building bespoke champagne lists to go with their food offers,” she said.

“Before that, you would be lucky to see champagne by the glass in any list outside Noosa, whereas now it’s really popular.”

Dr Plonk-Wine Host

Dr Plonk has been enjoying writing, educating, traveling and promoting all things related to wine. His writing efforts have been used in some nation wide publications such as the AMA lifestyle magazine and many Sunshine Coast publications over the past 20 years. He has hosted many dinners and educational evenings serving novices to experts and winemakers.
