India – A Visit To Varanasi & Rajasthan

Wits its diverse culture, fascinating history and wealth in natural attractions, India is a truly a vibrant and kaleidoscopic destination that can give you an unforgettable exotic vacation.  Known as a spiritual destination by many travelers around the world, India is a vast Asian country that gives you a glimpse of spellbinding ethnography and religions. Furthermore, it is a pleasant destination that draws an influx of tourists who want to savor its palatable cuisines as well as enjoy its natural scenery.

As you travel with me in India, we will pay a visit to the finest architectural structures, forts and palaces in this diverse country. What’s more, you get to feast your eyes on its picturesque natural wonders as well as experience its one-of-a-kind setting. Here are some of the highlights of our tour in this lovely and vast country:

Temples and historic monuments of Varanasi

For the first stop, we head off to Varanasi, which is one of the best and most popular tourist destinations in northern India. Formerly known as Kashi and Banaras, Varanasi is a historic city that epitomizes some of the country’s best aspects. As one of the world’s oldest cities, Varanasi boasts a myriad of historic monuments and temples, including Sankat Mocha Temple, Gauri Matha Temple, Ram Nagar Fort, Sarnath, Alamagir Mosque, Nepali Hindu Temple, Vishwanath Temple, and a whole lot more.

A boat tour around the city’s ghats

Hindus, for the most part, visit Varanasi’s Ghats to pray and cleanse their spirit by taking a holy bath. We, on the other hand, won’t be taking a holy bath in any of their Ghats. Instead, we will be hopping on a boat that will take us around its Ghats. That way, we can savor and experience the true flavor of Varanasi’s ghats as well as enjoy the lovely sights of the city from a different perspective.

After our spiritual and tranquil tip to Varanasi, we will make our way to the state of Rajasthan. Located on the northwestern part of India, Rajasthan is an exotic and colorful state blessed with a wealth of natural gems and wildlife. As far as I’m concerned, Rajasthan is a place you cannot afford to miss when visiting India.

Visit Rajasthan’s forts and palaces

Rajasthan is a great destination to observe Indian royalty and heritage. For me, a few days of touring this state won’t be enough to see the state’s real splendor. But, we will make the most of our time here by dropping by on its most remarkable and celebrated forts and palaces, such as Meherangarh Fort, Amebr Fort and Palace, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Junagarh Fort, Shesh Mahal, and Chittiargarh Fort.

Keoladeo Gahan National Park

Often dubbed as one of the best and most popular attractions in Rajasthan, the Keoladeo Gahan National Park is a lush national park where you can bike, hike and take pleasure at its scenic backdrop. Home to more than 300 species of birds, the park is also a great place to watch birds and other wildlife.

Outdoor activities

As we wander around Rajasthan, you may enjoy an array of sports and outdoor activities. For a dose of fund and adventure, do a camel safari, or ride a horse at the hills of the state. Furthermore, you may take a breathtaking hot air balloon ride, and see some of the state’s heritage sites from a completely different perspective.

Taj Mahal

Of course, no trip to India is complete without a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal. With more than four million visitors every year, Taj Mahal is certainly one of India’s major tourist draws. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Taj Mahal is an exquisite and awe-inspiring architectural piece that will fascinate you in a lot of different ways. From its lovely ornamental gardens to its reflecting pools, everything in this attraction is pleasant, charming and stunning.
